Last summer I was at Target to buy an iron and I happened to walk by the electronics department and spied a Sony CyberShot DSC-H2 sitting all by its lonesome in the display case. I have always wanted a digital camera, but I could never afford one. Well, as I bent down to look at this little beauty I noticed the orange clearance sticker. I was shocked; here was a $400 camera clearanced at $87.95. I asked the clerk to come over and he was shocked as well at the price. He pulled it out and we both started checking the camera over, but we could find no obvious flaws. At this point the other clerk came over and they both stared at the camera, shaking their heads. One of the clerks looked at me and said, "It's a dang good thing I didn't see this or I would have bought it!"
We stuck some batteries in it and it fired right up. Beautiful screen, lots of features, and a 12X zoom. I was sold immediately. I picked up a 1GB Sony Duo-Pro card and the camera and walked away smiling like an idiot. My mom (who was with me) said, "Talk about being in the right place ...." Indeed.
Anyway, that is the story of how I found my camera, which is still working like a champ. On the first week I had this camera I was out sitting in my parent's yard when a large hawk flew into the top of the big oak tree right above our heads. He was a good ways up there and so I carefully pointed and zoomed in on him and snapped the picture below. I was amazed at the awesome clarity of this picture when I got it developed. Yes, definitely a great deal.
