I check that one out a lot. I've always been a big fan of antiques and old stuff, and there's always new stuff to look at on there.

I'm jaded. That's the way images should look :D
You can look at those old things all day long on the NARA or LOC site and still not find what you are looking for. :p. I just recently spent several hours researching Civil War images for a project.
And I'm all for 4x5 transies. Still the best source there is and damn few photogs left doing it at all, let alone right.

That was fun to look through. I was surprised how many are from Louisiana. Crowley is about 15 minutes from here and they still have the Crowley Rice Festival like in those pictures! Louisiana dances still look pretty much the same, too! I love to look at medium and large format stuff. The quality is just wonderful in them!

I like looking at the background stuff in photos. There is cool stuff when you look beyond what the photographer was aiming at. (also fun when you do this to your own old photos).

very cool stuff! I'm starting to collect old photogear I come across from garage sales and such. Love those 4x5 press cameras! My aunt got one for me for $5.

Hey Tyger, if you're missing a critical element, lemme know. I might have it! I've currently got about 30-40 cameras dating back to 1904 and tons of parts and such.
