Hi Guys!

I am Rodny and I am new here I am new here! I just want to share a graphic work I did few days ago.

Have you ever wonder why aliens abduct cows?
Jamukha is a space traveler, weightlessness causes fragile bones, so he needs a lot of calcium, and where do you get calcium?

Here’s a pseudo “Got Milk” ad I did using purely Adobe illustrator, the idea came from a friend of mine, I told him I was doing a Got Milk digital painting and he asked if it’s about Alien, I said “no, but it’s a good idea”.

In this vector artwork I have applied all the techniques I know in Adobe Illustrator and soon I’ll be posting a small tutorial about it in my site.

Welcome! and nice illy. My only complaint about it is there should be a slight shadow on the robot arms coming out of the ship! :D

Picky little thing aren't you. I don't think it needs a shadow...not like it looks wrong or out of place.

In my opinion, the shading is great, ufo arms and all.

If I were to nitpick, it would be with the light from the tractor beam. The pool of light is broken by the cow but only from the cow's front, I think it would look better if the tail, rear leg, horn(or whatever), and the last utter also broke the light(at least to a degree).

^It^ is very minor and the whole illustration reads just as good as any of the actual milk ads.

Wow. That is amazing. People who nitpick the little things on a great design like this make me laugh.

Excellent work.

Now that my friend, is friggin awesome.

I love how it's quite simple, but there are tiny articulate details like the patten of the "tentacles".

Loving his uneven eyes.

The way you have portrayed the glass bubble is very good. Glass bubbles are never easy to draw.

Thanks guys!

I really appreciate you people giving interest on this little piece. It's not an ad for a milk company, just a whim and done in my spare time.
hehe, romancing_layouts, I am interested with the FREELANCE thing, of course, so you are welcome to contact me anytime, you can add me in MSN too, we can talk alot about art and techniques too <A href="mailto:gigsmella@hotmail.com">click here for my (gigsmella@hotmail.com)email.

As for the artwork, I do like adding details..it's basically dressing up the artwork, subtle details adds life to the drawing. As for the cow in the beam of light, yeah I got to the point that it's not easy anymore so I left it almost in one tone.

I hope you guys visit my gallery at wwww.rodnymella.com (http://www.rodnymella.com) have couple of advance digital painting tutorials too.

Cheers!

Stunning work and sketches on your site. People like you inspire me to buckle back down in a studio and devote some serious spare time in producing pieces like this (with of course my own style). I am too content with coming home from work and NOT being creative.

Bookmarked!

Love the illustration. Love the humor! I especially love the cow being milked by the robotic arm! That totally cracked me up.
