Hey all!

Got a simple question for ya'.

I'm finally going to upgrade from PS7 to CS3 using an Intel Macbook. Would the Macbook still recognize the PS7 install CD to do the upgrade or is it best to migrate PS from my G4?

I'm trading in my Power PC G5 for the macbook since (I need the portablity these days) and some store credit and was wondering how the update would work.

Do you have your PS7 serial number handy? I believe there is an upgrade option to key it in rather than search the hard drive for an older version of PS. That's how we load stufff. I just don't remember what we did for CS3.

yup still have the original box and manuals. So are you saying if I install CS3 cd it obviously won't find PS7 on the computer but ask for the serial number of PS7?

sorry I know its basic but I've used PS7 for years :) and haven't been keeping up with the whole Intel switch. It took me a good 2 1/2 years to upgrade from Jaguar to Tiger :D

you should be able to just copy the program app to your new mac and I think it will find it. But I think PD is right that it will ask you for the serial number as well if you don't have the previous version installed.

I'm trying to remember... I have PS7 and PS CS3 on my machine, but I
think it asked for the previous instal disk. It's been many many beers since I
loaded this Mac up for work though :o

I just installed it on 2 different brand new machines - you can use the old serial number, no need to install 7 first.
