I'm itching to get out and try it with my 100-400mm, coming from an XT it should be like night and day
This camera feels so different and so good in my hands even without the grip.

My camera wish list includes:
Canon EOS 40D - dSLR
Canon PowerShot S5 IS - Super Zoom
Olympus Stylus 790SW - Compact
I grow tired of my Olympus C-7070. I haven't been shooting in awhile and I don't know if I grow tired of my camera or just too busy. It's a decent camera, but it's a jack of all trades master of none camera. It does have wide zoom which is it's calling, but I don't really have a need for it. It's too big and bulky to be a nice point and shoot, but it's not got enough zoom (4x) to make it worth while for nature shots.

very nice! Grats!
I just got the 400D a couple weeks ago. the 40D would have been too expensive, especially since i don't have any lenses! :)

Great looking camera!
I don't even have a digital camera yet. The only ones that I can afford to buy are point+shoots, and I'd rather use my 20 year minolta with roll film than have no control.

cheers guys! I'm stoked!
D-Frag I'll PM you!
Marsh- I still have my Rebel XT :) The wife will be using it and I can still use it as a back up.
I've only took a few shots at home in the back yard but haven't got the chance to give it a good work out yet, but plan to this weekend.
I'm getting more into doing portraits so I felt like I needed a new body, got a few other toys coming my way to get started on a home/on loaction studio.
I'll post pics soon!

Nice cam Tyger!
I need a digicam sooo badly. Mine is from 1999, it's only 2 megapixel and eats through batteries like buda at a buffet. I kid you not. A co-worker bought a Disney digital camera for her 5 year old daughter and it takes much better pictures than mine. :(

Very nice, Tyger! I, too, am jealous!
Don't feel bad Virgo! I lost my digital. I think it's in the wilderness that exists under my teenagers bed. I'm too scared to look.

I think my phone takes comparable pictures...

Yeah, thanks for reminding me Jacki. Yes, there are cell phone cameras with better resolution than my digicam. *sigh*

I think I could draw on broacher's palm better and have it look better than your photos.
