OK, so I'll be the first to admit I'm awful at designing logos. That said, I've designed one (well, one hopes).

It is for a photography company named H.J. images... (stands for Hae-Jung [name], which will probably be spelled out right next to it for damn near everything). Wants "professional blah de blah typical photography (with various interests) like look".

Basic questions:
Is the "HJ" too vague0? And should I be that concerned about it....
I need either positive or negative reenforcement on it because I'm design insecure.

So we have variations 1 - 3. In the time it's taken me to write this I've now come to think the framed versions of 1 and 3 is too much (leaning towards #2). But I'm posting them anyways in case I'm wrong. I've also noticed that "images" is too light in weight and it goes away when the logo's too small, but I'm already writing this, but I'll have to figure that out. And now I'm rambling because I've had 2 hours sleep in 48 hours, but I'm not tired, and I have the shakes from too much caffeine... 0.o

If you would have never mentioned that there was supposed to be a J there, I would have never seen it. With that said, I like the idea of incorporating a camera frame for a photography logo, but I think you need to find a new way to incorporate the J. Good luck!

I saw the J after you mentioned the name. As you said, the name is going to be spelled out next to it in most instances, so not sure how important it is that it's visible without the clue. I like #2 best as well, and that one makes the J seem most apparent, if that's important to you.

Ok first i have to say i like it. Second, 1 and 2 are the same.?
4 looks more like THJ...
Theres somthing about the negative space that makes me think the letters are making an image, maybe thats just the abstract in me ..lol.. See can you make an image of a camra?

1 is the same as 3(4) but the "t" in in a very light color. turn up the contrast to see it.

i think its a good start. i like 3(4) [was the 4 a typo or are we missing version 3]
but the space on both sides of the H need to be the same. also maybe just make the shape on the left (it looks like a T to me as well) 1/3 as tall but keep the 90 so it still looks like a frame.

Thanks for the comments guys!
Not sure why you can't see the yellow Oldat29, On RGB it's 247,243,206. Maybe change your brightness/contrast on your monitor perhaps for a quick fix?

Think I've got a 4th version now. A little more emphasis on the initials, but I think it still holds an image/side view of a camera effect.

I like #2, but I have to say that after staring at it all of them for a bit, I started to think about the frame in viewfinder of a camera, or perhaps how a photographer often "frames" an image with their hands before shooting. I think that works. I don't really care for the version above. I think the sans serifs work better and I like the clean look of it.

Looks nice, but if you go any smaller you won't be able to read 'images' at all...

The first one is nice. Work on the top though, the break in the line is not directly in the middle and not close enough to the right, kind of ambiguous. Also, the slant on the left side of the top line is not repeated anywhere else, I would just end that line vertically. Also, are you sure that you want images in there? I think that would make a good personal logo, just put your name where images is, and use that as your photography logo/signature. Just my 2 cents
