Advice Needed!!

Hello,

I don't know if any of you could possibly help me?

I am currently launching a new online printing company. Is it going to be simple and easy to use and prices very competitive.

My target market is graphic designers.

I would just like to know really what kind of advertising/marketing would most attract you to a new printing company and to order your print online!

Any ideas would really help

Word of mouth. Honestly I don't care HOW I hear about a company, as long as they perform. If their prices are dirt cheap and I use them and then have an issue with the prints, they better have decent customer service. If they don't, I will never use them again.... period.

Affordable Letterpress ( JK! )
Affordable Hard-proofing ( Yeah Right! )
Earth-Friendly attitude.
Open-Honesty - like providing templates & specifications upfront.
Emphasis on color-accuracy.
And yes, knowledgeable customer service.

thanks a lot for all this..any advice is great! Where would you search for a printer? Would you bother looking in trade magazines at ads, or spend more time online searching??

I would first try to look around at websites online. I was using a printer a client wanted me to use, and they did not have a website. This really made me frustrated that I could not download a template off there website or look at other printing options. I would say getting high ranked on google is importaant in your case.

and, like ajint said, word of mouth. that means doing a lot of runs. on time, or faster, and spot-on. that'll bring the business to you.

What usually gets me interested is free sample pack of prints, fast shipping and low prices.

Do you have a site up yet? Where will the business be located? I'm always looking for good deals.

The site is going to be launched middle of this month, but I am in the UK and it is going to be UK only for now. But hopefully it will get bigger and bigger so keep checking it out!!

Funny you should mention the sample packs, as that is what our holding page is advertising at the moment, a lovely free sample pack!

Well from what I've seen on these forums, and through personal experience. Don't make the adverts look bad. We tend to notice bad designs instead of what it's advertising.

Course there is a certain Dance studio that I wouldn't mind going to.......
