I've finally decided for my final major project at college to do three paintings, one each for see no evil, here no evil and speak no evil, only I'm struggling to find things I can draw/paint simply to represent evil. I can think of many things that can be included in the see no evil piece, such as money, drugs, alcohol, television, video games... but I can't think of evils to not hear or speak that I can include. I need something I can do quite simply as the paintings are being done in a comic book/pop art style, and there isn't a massive amount of space where they can be added. Thankyou so much in advance to anyone that replies, it is much appreciated.

Both Rap and Rock and Roll have been touted as "the devil's music" in different decades.
I'm sure Kool will be in here later to suggest a portrait of Rosie O'Donnell gaffer taped.
Another tack could be various famous dictators giving propaganda speaches.

Gossip? Spreading lies? Propaganda? Fanaticism? Those are things that could possibly work for speak and/or hear.

My 11 o'clock has cancelled this morning. Evil rep? Hmm. I think we should talk. I'd want 50% and at least 30% of T-shirt rev. We could work out the rest pretty quickly.

I like Scott Adams' (Dilbert) idea of there being some kind of formal recognition of everyday 'lesser evils': aka his demonic character-- Phil, Prince of Insufficient Light.
You know, the person who drains the coffeemaker without refilling it. Or leaves just two sheets of toilet tissue on the roll. Evil? Well... sorta. Annoying? For sure.
In some ways, highlighting the less EXTREME ends might be a very effective way of communicating a term as 'fundamental' and absolute as 'EVIL'.

I think that the cubicle is a very effective representation of evil.

some pretty funny ideas here
"Hearing" is hard to represent in this manner but it would be cool to do it creatively. The only thing I can think of is a "temptation" kind of representation -- a little devil (or devilish person) on the shoulder speaking into the ear, for instance. Or a salesman giving you a pitch with crooked eyebrows...
Not that either of those ideas are very "creative"

monday mornings
Die hard Garfield fan?
Here are three things I think of for three evils. Free of charge, no worries about usage!
See no Evil : Old 1950's Television
Hear no Evil : Old 1930's 1940's radio. The brown arch one.
Speak no Evil : A Podium at a auditorium. A BROWN podium.
For some reason fundamental evil is mostly brown black and white to me.

for speek no evil, paint from the perspective of a person in bed looking into their cupboard at a 'boss' figure sitting at a desk pointing back at them with a screaming look on his face like he is yelling, make it dark. Im thinking childhood fears/skeletons in the closet/losing sleep because of what someone has said... just an idea, dnt have ma wacom at work so cant draft it for you but im guessing u have the skills
[edit] have the figure in the forground (looking from behind) with his hands on his ears (he is sitting up). Maybe a little obvious though.
[edit 2 (at this rate ill never leave the work...)] It might be nice if all your concepts revolve around someone in there 20s entering the work force? bring it closer to home...

Ha, theres some fab answers here, some are really quite funny. Iv actually already started the pieces, each one has a drawing of a girl with either a blindfold, gag or hands over her ears and I need to include something for each that they are shielding themself from. Some of these answers would be so cool if I was being more creative but I'm really strapped for time so I went down an easy route. The television and radio ideas are workable, or the rock and roll. Thankyou to everyone so far, I really appreciate it

I shall post piccies, I'm very excited about getting them all finished, was thinking maybe using an oldyworldy telephone for speak no evil I go with the 1950s tele and 1930s radio, which will keep the theme? maybe?

It looks like your already moving into your concept but I generally think of George Bush as being evil that could possibly work with hear or speak but if you've already got a theme going it might not fit in so well.
