Graphic Design in the third world?

This is something that has been on my mind for soo long

Coming from Africa but living in London ,its nutz because i dont see any designs from the 3rd world . Does anyone kno of any movements from India Africa or South america that are compareble to swiss or german design history? I'm writing a short piece on this at uni
