I was just wondering if anyone could help me pick a game for the 360. I have some extra cash and want to buy one of three, help me choose :)
In no particular order:
Army of 2
pros: co-op heavy. Good for when my bro comes over once a week or so.
con: frustrating to play alone with ai, not online heavy. Low replay value.
Grand theft auto 4
pros: great reviews, online, plenty of replay value.
cons: kinda raunchy, previous versions of GTA I never finished because I got bored of them (might happen again?)
Call of Duty 4
pros: have played tons of this game. Great stuff
cons: have played tons of this game.
Basically I love cod4, but I won't have it back to play until september when I move back to college (my roommate has it.) I don't know whether to just buy it or wait. If I buy it, we will have 2 copies next year.
I have like previous GTA's, and I hear this one is awesome, Just a bit skeptical about how long I can stretch the same old kill everyone game. My roommate won't buy GTA, too violent for him.
Army of two is appealing to play co-op in, although I could maybe play it 3 -5 days a month, granted for about 12 hours each time :D (whenever my bro visits)
any and all suggestions welcomed and appreciated. let me know what you think of these if you have any.

GTA4 has more longivity that its predessors in my opinion and the online play can be hilarious.
Arny of Two has a limited shelf life.
CoD4 is without a doubt the best multiplayer FPS ever created for the 360, but 2 copies just aren't needed.
I watched some gamelpay footage of GoW2 yesterday and I was blown away, Fenix just kicks ass.

GTAIV all the way, absolutely no question. Even if you hated the previous games (I see you liked them), like I have, GTAIV is so much better on almost every front. I see this getting many Game of the Year nods (Metal Gear Solid 4 pending). The storyline is a lot more deep than most "OMG GTA ARE BAD" pundits will have you believe.
Army of Two was terrible, very forced co-op playback and not really all that enthralling gameplay. The whole cover mechanic is so gimmicky and unfortunately the majority of the game is based around it. Skip this, or rent it if you need to play it.
Call of Duty 4 will probably hit a price cut eventually when you're in the mood to play it regularly again. It is fun, though, no doubt about that, but pretty short too. Then again, Gears of War has yet to hit a price cut (or maybe it has, but last time I checked it was still $60). I'd say not to wait for Gears of War 2 and get GTAIV in now, and then enjoy GoW2 when it comes out.

Army of Two will be a bargain buy in a couple months, poor poor reviews on that one. GTA 4 has been an awesome collection of fun for me. Also Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 is great, but loses points until they dump the random spawn BS in online play

I'd definitely be in on that! I haven't been able to find a DM since I moved.
It's dangerous to post an ad in the classifieds that begins "dungeon master wanted"....
Lol, maybe that's why they switched it to game masters!

I have all three games... I love CoD4, and it gets the most game play from me, I dont know if I could wait until sept. to play it again... obviously this game is best on-line, it's pretty short on single player mode.
GTA IV is a great game as well... lots of stuff to do, drive, shoot, bowling, darts, pool... it's got a LOT of potential to last a long time!
I was very diappointed with Army of Two - it had a great concept, which really had me hoping it would be awesome. I've played it for about 2 hours total... When I go somewhere with my xbox, I dont even consider taking this game with. But then again I didn't like Gears of War either... it kind has the same feel (hide behind crap and shoot?) I guess if you like that, it might be good for you?!
My vote I guess since you will have a copy of Cod4, go with GTA IV - and rent CoD4 when you need a fix!
