I continue to have problems with a certain book printer who has failed on three attempts to produce quality work.
You might remember the chewing tobacco incident, the blurry ink, and the defective perfect binding from a couple months ago...this is the same job.

They've produced close to 3500 copies in three separate press runs. Only 1000 of those have been acceptable and I ordered 2000.
This week I received 800 replacement copies, only 2 (yes, TWO) were acceptable. The rest had the same defective binding and defective ink problems as the original press run. I've now spent 60 hours of my time dealing with this problem.
The company has an excellent reputation. They've been around for over 50 years and rank in the "Top 10" printing companies in the United States. I happen to know a couple other publishers who use this printing company on a regular basis (for the past 25 years). According to them, nothing has ever come close to the problems I have encountered.
Needless to say I am extremely frustrated. It's obvious I need to raise hell, but I'm not sure how high I need to go. This company has over 1000 employees. I've been dealing with the plant Quality Control Manager, who, like everybody else, has been very apologetic and genuinely interested in fixing the problems. It pains me to drop the hammer on this guy because he's treated me so well. I'm sure there are other people involved, but I have no idea who they are.
So who would you complain to? The QC manager's boss, or one of the VP's, or the President?
