My brother has asked me to create a little logo/icon for him and his fiance. All he said was that he wanted a bear to be the main focus.
My thought was to make a bear, but out of their initials and an ampersand. so it would be T&L.
Here are the types of bears he likes:

so I was just going to take the outline of that and somehow make it so that once i get rid of the outline, the bear is made up of T&L...
what do you suggest is the easiest way to go about this?
does that even make sense?

Just start drawing and see what comes up.
Then post your drawings here if you are still a bit stuck.
By the way, is this logo for the branding of their wedding?

Branding for a wedding. What a bizarre concept.

I've done custom wedding "monograms" before now. People want to put them on wedding invites and gubbins like that. I assumed it was an American fettish as I'd never encountered it in the UK.

The whole wedding branding thing is out of control. It's amazing to me how much money people spend on this stuff.
Although wasn't that crazy wedding dress thing that Kat posted a little while back from the UK?

I asked the Googe about "wedding branding" and got almost half a million hits. Holy Bridezilla, Batman!
I did look at one of the first hits. It was the groom, who started to consider the wedding as a client. I found it an interesting read, although I just read this one blog entry (http://www.jasonsantamaria.com/archive/2005/11/16/branding_your_wedding.php). I would consider taking on wedding branding as freelance work, except I've heard one too many Bridezilla stories. No thanks! :D

I would brand my wedding. But then again, I wouldn't spend any money on the branding.
Monograms have been around forever right? It's just a modern take on that I suppose.
Perhaps I could even get a flogo for my wedding!

Yeah, I guess if you look at it that way, monograms are a form of branding. I dunno, just seems like people are getting carried away with it in terms of how much money they spend.
Then again, I got married in Vegas. The license was $50 bucks, the civil ceremony was just a few dollars more. :D

No way! Yours was cheaper than ours! Our license was $70! We had about $6 on Muni too.

LOL Frank. I could be remembering the amount wrong, but this was about 3 years ago, perhaps things have changed? :D
We did spend a few bucks on the bus, however, as well.

I didn't factor in the wedding rings either. Mine was $50, but because my husband's hands are mahoosive his was $150. It was all done on weight, that's how classy the place was that we bought them ;) I got married just over 4 years ago.

Didn't someone (a very prominent someone too, if I remember right) post their wedding logo for critique a few months back?
I swear this isn't the first time I've heard talk of branding weddings on this forum....
Edit: Heck, there's a whole bunch of them. Just do a search for 'wedding logo.'
