Hey Guys,

I just did a graphic for a skateboard/bike shop, and I am ready to send files to their woodshop/printer... like now, and this is the guidelines...

How to send the file
The graphic file can be sent either by email or by CD. If the file is sent by email, the file needs to be compressed into .zip format from Window computer or to be Stuffit-ed into .sit format from an Apple computer. If the file is sent by CD from an Apple computer, please make sure that the CD is formatted to be Windows compatible. (We use Windows to email files to our print shop).

My question is what the hell is a .sit format? and how do I compress my 3 files into a .sit?

Thanks so much

StuffIt file compresser. Similar to a ZIP file.

Stuffit is a Mac program which compresses files, much like WinZip.

Older versions used to make a .sea file (which stood for self-extracting archive) and didn't need the software at the other end in order to uncompress the files.

You may be able to find a free version somewhere like www.macupdate.com

Just make a zip file, no matter which OS you use.

For PC - right click, select Send To Compressed File
For Mac - right click, select Create Archive of ......

Send corresponding _______.zip file

cool thanks alot for the super quick respones...i knew it was something i probably had to download... but... im thinking i might just burn a cd to give to the skateshop...so then they can zip the files themselves on their windows machine, and send it to the printer... or would that be bad?

I can makes .sit files but I always make .zip on my make because it is easier.

Just a question, can PC users open .sit files? Or only .zip?
