According to waiterrant.net, today is National Waiter day in the US. Tip your waiter 30%!

I put my apron on in honor of my favorite waiter, Mike. Thanks, Mike, for all the good foodz! :D

(If you haven't read waiterrant, give it a look. It's hilarious and poignant at the same time!)

Dammit! Why can't National Waiter Day land on a Saturday so I can be working at the restaurant and reaping the 30% tips?

I say go in Virgo, just tell your manager that they can always use extra help on Wednesday nights, they are hip happening. :)

As a former bartender/waitperson, I'll go ahead and celebrate Nat. Waiter's Day by serving myself something right now... after all, it's a holiday! Maybe I'll give myself a nice, fat tip, too... or maybe I should just go out and tip some waiters to keep the refreshments coming! Maybe just one drink while I think about where to go.... and to all the waiters that I encounter this evening- let me apoligize for my behavior in advance. Now, off to take care of some waiters!
Happy Holiday to all the wait-people out there!

Happy day to all those waiters out there. We don't tip in our country. Weird huh?

Happy Waiter/Waitress/Non-genderwhat's-it Day, but...

Perhaps the wait staff's employers should pay them a decent wage for a day
instead of depending on their customers to subsidise a minum wage (or less)
employee who is the face of their establishment. I pay over 30%
for awesome service on the other days of the year, and 15-20% for
average service because I come from the industry and understand.

Boo to the owners who pay for crap, and boo to them for expecting me to pay their employees more today.

Rant over, it is now. Yoda Day, I like more.

In New Zealand, people tip not. Living wage, waiters are paid. Live with Buda, Virgo must. :D

happy waiters day. My one and only brush with 'proper' waiting (ignoring McDonald's for a moment) was doing silver service one Christmas at a posh hotel to earn some extra moolah.

We were supposed to share all the tips.... but I was young, and greedy :)

In NZ with buda, less money at waitressing Virgo would make. Unless US$25 an hour pay they do. (And pay regular wage owner does not - tips off the books only does Virgo make.)
