I am designing a series of postcards mailer templates for my clients, and the back of the postcards include a coupon offer. Other than the standard dotted line with tacky random copy, I have not been able to find good examples of design for coupons. Does anyone have resources to suggest?

Why have a dotted line at all? You could present it like a gift certificate or like currency.

well, in my case, these are small offers on the back of the postcard, so there is not really room to present it as a gift certificate. I am mostly just looking for a place where I can view a variety of solutions to get a little inspiration. And, no, there does not have to be a dotted line. I was just using that as an example.

I don't have any suggestions of a variety of solutions for this, but you could be inspired by other designs that aren't coupons.

You can design the coupons in the style of something else that exists in graphic design. Of course it should suit your client.

For example, if your client is an stationery company that sells a lot of personalised envelopes, a book of coupons that resemble a book of postage stamps might be a neat idea.

Or if your client is a travel agent, a book of coupons that resemble tie on luggage tags would be cute.

had to do something like this for a project that i had in high school, i made a landscaping company logo and we had to put coupons on the ad. i used some simple clipart that was related to landscaping such as leaves and etc.

to be honost you can be free to do anything you want with coupons, usually i throw them all away when i get them in the mail so they're not that important to the consumer. just feel free to do whatever you want and make the overall coupon look work with the overall project look. it will be easier for you and make your client happy.

google-image-search for coupons and there are plenty of examples of coupons that major companies use for their mailers.

I love coupons and junk mail. Though I will throw out junkmail when I'm done reading it.

Don't be so quick to discount the dotted line...It's a universal signifier of a coupon. Yes, you may want to to something totally unique, artsy and new, but there's soemthing to be said about going with what's been learned by the masses as a standard...why try to re-teach em.

Don't forget to ad an expiration date! and do not use with other coupons/discounts, etc.
