Commissioning Illustration on Stock Photo Sites

Hi there,
I just found out that iStockphoto.com has discontinued their "Buy Request" program, which facilitated custom illustration requests for the artists on their site. Does anyone know of any other sites that do such a thing? We would like to commission some illustration and are trying to determine the best way to do this.

I dont know of any sites but you might try the commissions forum here. Im sure there are some illustrators who would do it.

Out of curiousity do iStock artists charge the same rate for custom illustrations through some deal with iStock or were they allowed private arrangements and pricing?
