Went to the Lake today

We all piled in the vehicles and drove to Moreau Lake today. It was just too darn nice to stay inside.

Here are a few of the pics I snapped. There was lots of local residents there today ;)

It was a beautiful day ... we were there for about 4 hours and grilled steaks and chicken and corn ... mmmm nom nom nom :D

Hopefully it fares better than my sisters goldfish. She's had 3-4, their life span is like 3 days. Or maybe she's just not on top of it hehe.

When my entire family went to Puerto Rico, we found a hermit crab (or at least something close) by the pool. My niece (who LOVES all animals) kept it for the whole rest of the afternoon. She got so upset when my sister told her she couldn't take it home and keep it for a pet. She didn't quite understand the concept of 'can't bring it through customs'...

She wasn't even that wee, she was 10 at the time. She just has this thing about making sure all animals have a home and 'parents'. She's adopted, so my sister surmises that she just wants to make sure all creatures of the world have or find a loving home like she did.

It really is a lovely spot .. they have camping on site as well :)
