That's what I tell them when they point out the typos in the catalog I just sent to print. Then they just say, 'Oh, cool. Wanna fly out to L.A. on out dollar and fix those types for a cool $6,000 cash plus expenses?' And I say, 'Ok, but don't rub me the wrong way or I just might not change 'em at all.'

When the other designer did an ad a few weeks ago (which went through proofing and was approved) and it was printed in the paper as 'sh!t' instead of 'shift' we just told the boss...'..the art CHOSE the words Mr. Miller'

it's the city's fault. artists are notoriously insane. or moody. or dyslexic. in any case, you can't trust what an artist says about their own art. hell, she might chalk this whole furor up to a pre-meditated piece of 'performance art', 'illustrating the corruption and ineptitude in local government', or some such bs.
how did they know that she wasn't going to create an orgy scene? or penguins murdering children by giving them paper cuts and asphyxiating them with their own library cards? she wasn't contracted as a 'graphic designer', the city commissioned a work of art. they should have had the foresight and discernment to see what they would be getting for their money.
but i don't think many other cities will be commissioning this silly woman any time soon.
