Despiration is setting in here. Here's the deal. I designed a political card for a friend and was going to print it for him on my HP printer. It's a small town election and I'm only printing around 100 pages @ 3 cards per page.

I went to print the document that had a green background (the default green that is sort of a forest green) , I was going to print 10 pages and the file size of the document is pretty big. All of the sudden during the processing, the green background turns to a sort of lime green. I tried to reload the default CMYK pallet and it did change back to the original.

I then tried one more time to print, and the damn thing did it again. I tried and tried to get the default pallet back, but no cigar. I am selecting default CMYK, and it is, but the colors are changed around.

Now everything I've done shows up in in the wrong shade of color than it supposed to.

Example, the green that was changed in the pallet is still listed as 'green' buts it's an apple or lime green now. It sucks.

Anyone have an idea? Any help would be appreciated. If all else fails I'll try to re install.

Thanks
Tony B

Under
TOOLS -> COLOR MANAGEMENT -> Optimized for WEB
Should make everything go that nasty lime green again..
with 'Optimized for Web' the colours are all RGB for making web sites.
It looks pretty garish if you're switching from CMYK mode.

Choose 'Optimized for professional output' and it
should be CMYK calibrated and look a lot better/duller.

Corel's settings go funny sometimes... if it happens again try that before re-installing.
Unless you already did. Ignore it.

This is happening to all my Corel palettes as well, the colors change to bright fluorescent-looking colors without me changing any settings at all. I've gone into the color management tool and changed the settings, that fixed it temporarily, but then they changed by themselves again. Make it stop!! I don't feel like uninstalling and reinstalling - also, this happened on a coworker's PC, and uninstalling/reinstalling didn't help.

Try getting the service packs from corel. I had that happen when I used custom workspaces... it loaded the default one instead sometimes and it was frustrating. Since then I change the default one to suit me. Are you using a custom workspace?

No, using defaults - and it's happening in the middle of me working, without me changing any settings. Currently my CMYK palette, set to default, is the only one not screwy, and I suspect it's only a matter of time until that one goes too, as all the other ones have. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and still, same thing. Arrrgh. maybe i will look into the service packs.
