I am entering the 3rd year this September and am really stuck for a good dissertation topic! Can someone please help me!

I am interested in logos, brand identity, symbols, semiotics, and information design. I thought of using the title Graphic Symbolic representation to cover all of these areas. But what would the argument be? What would I be reporting?

I have travelled a lot and am thinking of looking at logos, brands and symbols Internationally, as this will really interest me as I plan to work overseas when I graduate.

Also thinking about reporting on a technical level about design principles when creating a logo or a brand!

Does anyone have any ideas how I could define this more???

I have been looking at designers such as Lance Wyman and Paul Rand. Does anyone have any other suggestions for designers that I should be looking at? Or companies that I should be looking at

Research methods- has anyone got any creative ideas???

I very much appreciate any help you can give!

Have you done a search here on 'dissertations'?

Your project is very broad, and I have to admit, rather stale, to me personally anyway. We don't do people's homework for them so you may have to narrow your ideas down and ask more specific questions rather than the global "Help me define this more," before the help you seek is offered.

When you have a handle on your argument statement, then we can offer direction on designers or resources.
