This is a new logo that my client is wanting to roll out. For some reason they just want me to add a .tv into the logo. Tell me how familiar this looks to you guys. I've got a weird feeling about this.... I don't know how or if I should break it to my client that it is certainly not very cutting edge. Almost deathly cliche.

Looks like a horizontal bahamas logo...

Well then they do the "b" thing and it's the whole quark/scottish arts thing again. But part of there stuff is playing on pop culture...

I looks to me as 'bobisso' but from farther distance it is read as 'bobooo' ...

The linkage of last four letters are fine, but they are uneasily recognizable, the complete name is probably needed for easier identification, probably like this ...

crazy enough.... they are supose to be "Z" because "S" curves the other way. It's not what I would have designed for them but they like it. I am just adding the .tv to the end and letting them do what they want with it. They are nice clients and pay promtly. I was just weirded by how it looked like the Quark logo that was identical to someone else's established logo. However, they sell a different product than software so it doesn't matter too greatly I guess. I will just do the work and let them be happy with it.

Mmm... I dont share the fascination for that symbol, it's being ripped off a million times, why anyone would want to do it again, but I suppose the client wouldnt know about the quark/scottish arts issue, so they cant be blamed.

I would do it as long as they are going to pay you.. It is a job for profit. I try and look at my projects (that aren't for myself) like that. Sometimes people like things that I don't agree with but as long as they're buying it's fine with me.

Make the logo smaller...preferably so small that I can no longer see it.

It is pretty bad isnt it!?

I'd still do the job though ;)

Hmm...I stared at this for far too long and still couldn't determine what it said...thanks for telling!

If all they want is .TV added in the same style, and are paying. Go for it. We're designers, not black turtlenecked, black beret wearing art snobs.

Usually:D

You will always have jobs that will look bad to you that the clients want. It's unfortunate but that's they way things go. I have many jobs I have done that would never be put in my portfolio!
