Is this to sell as art posters? I think you are going to have to get archival ink jet for that kind of thing.

If you truly want a Xerox® machine, click here (http://www.xerox.com/). The iGen does a very nice job.
If you want a black and white or color photocopier, you'll need to narrow down whether you want a tabletop or floor model, how many pages per minute, if it needs a duplex module, finishing options. We use Canon copiers at work and they are much more complicated now than they were five years ago. Some even have fax and mailbox capabilities.

thanks for the help,,,,
1. i do have pencil drawings that i need to reproduce
2, art posters is perhaps a good phrase,,,i need ink that is archival for sure
3. color copies
4. i need a copier that will be a workhorse,,,1000s of copies/month if need be,,,doubtful at this point that ill need this right away, but just in case
5.,,,duplex module, finishing options,,,THESE TERMS i dont understand
i looking for something that reproduce as accurately as possible what ill be copying,,,

we have a docucolor 250 with a fiery rip i like pretty well. canon's version had good quality but it had some print issues. the 250 is a beast, rated for something like 200k copies a month. it handles up to 13 x 19, up to 110# index.
it's also pricey. you're looking at about 10k or so; better to lease it, but the lease is 1100 a month. the consumables will eat you alive; staple cartridges alone are about 300 bucks.
there is a price for quality and speed.

Duplex = automatically prints on both sides of the sheet
Finishing = Collating, stapling, tape binding...
