experimenting with some new tools and after recording a 1 minute movie i am now 2 steps away from completing this experiment :D

but i now need to reconvert all these files back into jpegs or .psd files...

instead of doing them individually thought i would ask mai peers for advice

i know Adobe has built in tools to expedite with these things but being my 1st time doing it i am not too sure, fumbling through bridge at the moment with no luck so far.

thanks!!

edit: may help if you know what i am up too, recorded a 1 minute movie
(wanted a scanner darkly video of myself)

- exported the movie with quicktime - exported as a imagesequence
- 1 minute movie = 2067 frames in .psd format
- i am now slowly live tracing 10 frames at a time in bridge = (206 saves)
- now i need to reconvert the traced .ai files into jpegs or .psd files so quicktime can read the image sequence correctly

:quicktime is not .ai friendly, and i do not have finalcut pro which can load the .ai files and saves the extra step

You could create a droplet (or action) in PS that saves the files as a JPG or PSD?

Hmmm, probably not the fastest way to do it, but I think with 2067 frames, what ever you decided to do is going to take a while!?

as long as the ai files are all the same dimensions you should be able to do an action like satchel said. check this out (http://www.sitepoint.com/article/file-processes-photoshop) should kind of explain what you need to do without getting to in depth

I would say a droplet. I haven't done this for a movie, or in ai but I've made a few websites that had thousands of photos that needed to be resized, optimized and thumbs made for them and it saved my sanity. That sounds like a cool movie, are you going to post a link when you're done?

I have no idea how to help you, but your experiment sounds very interesting. I used to make animation reels in Super 8 when I was a kid and rotoscoping has always interested me. Let us know how it turns out.

update:

well last few days have been spent live tracing and saving, thought i would wait til i have them all done before i continue.

gonna experiment with the droplet today and hopefully if i get it working correctly i can leave the house and come back to a almost full folder of jpegs.

and you betcha i will load it for you guys to see once i am done :D

(and yes all 2067 files are the same dimensions)
