Curriculum Vitæ. Another name for resume. In the US more commonly used in the medical community.

Unfortunately, beyond that I can't help the OP, sorry.

I must be too sheltered. I've never heard of that before. It sounds fancier than Resume. Even resume sounds fancy... around here they are called "mewantjob sheets"!:)

did you try googling CV samples?

Shouldn't you be able to design your own CV? I mean looking at others for inspiration for something as personal as a CV seems like cheating, no?

you should, but there's a sort of general "way" CV are supposed to appear, since they tend to be much longer documents, sometimes up to 20 pages -- which seems excessive, but i've seen it.

yea a doctor once sent a 40 page CV to us... I was amazed at the arrogance that was put in.... but still.

Agreed. But the OP asked for existing examples, not guidelines....

Microsoft Word has many template's for CV's. They should be brief and only contain the most pertinent and recent examples of your experience. In Australia most CV's aren't any longer than 3 pages, 1 of which is your letter of introduction.

Hope this helps :)

As a designer, one would hope that you NEVER EVER EVER use one of these... Unless a gun is pointed to your head.

I can't tell you of any sites with good CV design, but I just had to write a CV for the first time yesterday and used about.com. It helped me find information about the layout and contents, but maybe following one of the 5,033,948 links they have will lead you to actual good designs. Hopefully someone else on the forum will have a better resource..!
