Hi people.
I've just done these initial concepts for a new architects/surveyors recruitment agency. I'd really appreciate it if you could take a look and let me know which your favourites are (if any). Constructive criticism is welcome :)

cheers

I vote for the all black one, but I don't think the type is as strong as the image portrays. The second one is way phalic, and the 4th and 5th give a liquid or water feel to them. save #4 for if you ever have to do a heater/Cooler logo, it would work rather well.

I would choose No.4, it has a texture and a real three dimensional feel to it (but will it look as good on paper as it does on screen?).

I like the top middle. A little phallic, but it's nice, simple and looks like it's been their logo for 50 years.

I see real problems with printing #4 I just can't see it working well in low cost reproduction (b+w, or grayscale, plus scaling it down may cause issues. As far as the phallic one, I don't think it works unless the company made the washington monument, or has some strong tie to Washington DC to many infrsignals are given off by it.

Actually after looking at these again 'and discussing it with my art director, the first one has a lot of potential. the perspective is a little off kinda forcing the L shape a little to much. So I would keep working in the first one and the 7th one.

Like the first one myself, I think it could be really strong with a little tweaking

Match in the gas tank, boom boom.

I like the first one and the one at the bottom left.

overall they look ok, but as initial concept I always like to present two or three grouping of logos, each grouping with a different way of develop that log, let's say that all the logos you're showing (except #5) belong to the same grouping that uses a building icon on it, you could present another grouping using just fonts, initials or something like that and a 3rd grouping with a totally different look, of course you don't have to do it that way but I find that a way to show your client a wider array of possibilities for their logo and show all your capabilities, that doesn't mean you have to do 60 logo variations, maybe 3 or 4 of each grouping

from that group I like the top middle, it's simple, nice and clean, I would work more on t he shape and colors but it's my favorite

1st one and bottom left. The bottome left really pops though because of the contrast.

All are good images of architect agency, one advice is to put some numbers to undestandcorrectly the feedbacks.

I like the one at the left up grayand the otherat the left down black, the center up is nice too. take care about reduction printing.

Very good work.http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/emoticons/thumbsup.gif

I like the black one, it steps out from the crowd and gives designer more choice to play with positions in other graphic designs. I Anyway, all your logo designs are more then average quality, indeed :)

:) thanks loads to everyone who's taken the time to have a look and leave comments :)

I'm presenting on Tuesday, so that gives me a little time to work on them a bit more. I'll let you know the outcome!

Thanks again

I like one and six counting from top to bottom, left to right.
I like contrast so on #1 I would like to see the name at the bottom of the logo in Red, pop out red, strong, like think steel and stucture,
on #6 I would like to see the arch behind the text to be a line drawing of a building in grey, name of company red and the text below blk. or those three colors in some order.
If it is an architect company think straight clean lines and think strong.
You are on the right track, they look great. These are just what I would like to see, it doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with the works you have done. Be proud of them. There good.

I like #'s 1 and 2...going top to bottom, left to right. #1 is clean and unique and with a little more work could work well, but #2 has a nice strong appearance to it.

Can't wait to see the final layouts.

I like 1 and 2. I agree about 2 being a logo that looks like something that they had been using for some time. I like the 2nd row, far right one too. Not fond of the colors but maybe if you dropped out the letter A and let the peak represent the A and make it one color. Good luck!
