I'm attaching some pics that I took. A HUGE pic of berries, and some ones I resized of my brother and other stuff.

That looks like a great camera, I'm sure you'll love it!! What size memory card do you have with it? Must be at least 512 for 8MP? WHat is the average file size if you take a pic in jpeg??
Another good in-depth review site for anyone looking for a new camera:

Tyger, the Rebel is a fantastic camera. My friend has one and i have a 10d. Pretty impressive and amazing for the price. Although, the real money comes with buying the lenses!! If you get one, i can recommend a very reasonable priced lens that i bought. Sigma 70-300mm 4-5.6 MACRO. Its a good all rounder (except any wide angle of course!) and takes AMAZING macro pics. It doesn't break the bank at £150 either. Obviously not as good as some but for a 'good' Canon equivalent with image stabilization you're talking £700+
PM me if you want any further information.

Those pics are fantastic. i am into taking (and viewing) pictures of things that are smaller, upclose. Try layiing on your belly in a field for a few minutes early in the morning (9am) and capture things with dew on them, playing with back lit and front lit. you have to watch for shadows, and reflections but the shots turn out pretty great, with a camera like that I am guessing the would be fantastic.
I usually look like a grown nut when I take pictures, you can find me perched under a tree of fallen rotting pears for hours waiting for something to come by, but most enjoy the end results. Play with your natural lightings. I would like to see what you come up with.

How much did you pay for it?
There is a company on ebay selling it with like $1500 dollars worth of extras for $888.00
Hopefully you didnt pay more than $800 for it.

Answers to questions:
MikeyB: I have a 512 MB card and the guy down at the store said that I could trade it in on a 1 gig card any time within a month if I like. So far, the 512 seems ok. Images are around 1.8 tp 3.2 mb in the fine jpeg mode (pretty small) and more like 5-7 mb in RAW.
Benjo: I dunno.
Guber42: I paid 799 plus tax, so yeah, I paid more than 800. I'm not a fan of buying expensive equipment on the net. It's probably just the luddite in me, but I want to be able to go down to the store if I have problems rather than call customer service in Bombay.
coconut: I did some like that! Came out pretty good. Right now it's raining, so I can't go to the park, but if it's clear later I'm gonna take it down to the beach. Nice thing about where I live in San Francisco... I'm a ten minute walk from a fine arts museum, five minute walk from a park, ten minute walk from another park, and a ten minute bus ride from the ocean. Or, twenty minutes by bus to downtown and all the tourist photo spots like Chinatown, North Beach, City Hall and stuff. So I think I won't run out of picture opportunities any time soon!

Pics I took this weekend.
Then the camera crapped out. Weird. Took it back to the Good Guys where I got it, and they said it was a defective unit and gave me a new one. So I guess it's all good.

That is an amazing camera. I've been looking to upgrade my current Canon digi-cam, and I wanted to get an SLR, but wanted to stay compact. The Power Shot Pro gives you the best of both. I'm sure I'll have to pick it up.
I usually go to dpreview.com for camera reviews, but steves-digicams.com is another great resource I'll keep on hand.
