Been working on emails lately and they are totally image based for the most part, I slice the images up and put them in tables and this works fine for the most part, but I discovered hotmail puts spaces in between the table rows.

Anybody know any possible work around for this? I really don't want to send the email as one giant image.

Apparently Hotmail now serves different content to different browsers on the fly, so that might be part of your problem. See http://www.email-standards.org/blog/entry/the-impact-of-browsers-on-windows-live-hotmail/ for more info.

You might also want to check out the 2008 edition of Campaign Monitor's Guide to CSS Support in Email (http://www.campaignmonitor.com/css/) as it covers both desktop & web clients.
