Hey guys, My friend Nate asked me to design a logo for him he wanted something ECO-FRIENDLY looking and modern. So this is my first go at it, please critique would be appreciated.

I think the mark is lovely.

Is the word photography in the same font as above? I ask this because the logo and the main text is very round. But the o's in photography aren't perfect circles.

There are a few spacing issues though. Try and make all the gaps exactly the same size. I've marked in yellow the spots that are a bit awkward.

You can graduate from my school with flying colours then :)

I really like the white reverse one on the photos. I think it looks epic. Why did you pick red and green for the normal coloured logo?

I saw a cup from a coffee shop that my gf went to that was some type of recycled paper with the red and green on it, and they just complimented each other so well... also i think they are great eco-friendly colors very muted very recycled.

I really like the concept because the first thing it made me think of was the shape of the canisters in a film camera...

yeah i really wanted to convey an abstract idea of photography while still using his initials. Im glad that it comes through. thank you for the input.

Very cool. Fits in with the photography and his initials. Has a very retro feel as well.

oooh looks very nice! ... my input would be try using very subtle shadow where the red and green intercept/overlap.... may look good

Why?

K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid)

Print that on a pen with the "subtle shadow", and you wont see it at all.

haha yeah many revisions.

As far as the shadow goes this is a very flat logo and to add depth in one spot would not compliment the feel of the rest of the logo. thank you though.

I've been lurking around here for some time but I had to compliment your work, I really like it, especially the final result, very clean and simple.

That long exposure photo with the final logo in white should look great. (please post it if you can ;) )

btw, avant garde, right??? just wanted to know, very good use of typography

Very nice... although I am not a big fan of giving lowercase letters large amounts of letter spacing – as used here in the word photography. Did you try it in uppercase?
