I'd like some critiques of my portfolio site (http://www.portfoliowork.net/kavalos). Thanks for any feedback.

Hey, SurfPark. Off the bat, I'd say it seems a little ... sparse. Your 'About Me' page describes you as a web designer, but your website is a little bland; it has the look of a blog more than a portfolio site. And, when it first loaded, the image of the sky didn't show up for a little while, and I think I liked the header (airplane and title) against the plain blue rather than the sky.
Looking at your samples of web pages, I think you could make your portfolio site a little more interesting. I'm all about minimalism, but this isn't quite there yet, for me.

i quite like the transition from clouds to light blue...but the light blue seems a hair too light...
i think you need a 'current page' indicator...i didn't know when i went the site that i was already on the portfolio page...i thought you were giving teasers on the home page and there'd be more on the 'portfolio' page...
i enjoyed reading your design process...

I really like the design, the banner is great, but I feel like the links don't compliment it well. It's just an awkward contrast. The size, spacing, placement, bar underneath them-- all really throw it off for me. Otherwise looks good to me.

You spelled "QuarkXPress" wrong on your resume. Not the WORST thing in the world, just a pet-peeve of mine...
