I have volunteered to investigate online auction software for my high school alumni association. They do a silent auction every year, and they want to expand to include an online auction this year. The online piece won't likely be a live real-time auction this year, but may move in that direction in future years.

So, my question is this: Do any of you have any experience with any of the auction software companies? If so, any recommendations or cautions??

Thanks in advance!

I've never used online auction software, but if you can't figure one out, you could always ask a local online auction site if they would hold your auctions for you for a fee. More traffic to their own site is a good thing.

We have a local online auction website here that is used for charity auctions (like bid for dinner with a local celebrity) so that's why I thought of that first.
