Good luck!
So is the position for an inhouse graphic designer in the same company? Do they already have one?
Make sure you emphasise how much you know about the company and their current design requirements. This will give you an edge over the other applicants.
You should also think about how you might answer if they asked "What would you do to change the current design aesthetic of our company?".
Hopefully you have a few ideas of where the company could be going to graphically.

Give it time, keep trucking along, and keep getting better. Someone will open a door for you soon enough. Heck, it took me 5 years to get a full time job. I was very close a few times to getting great jobs but experience was the deciding factor. So I just continued to practice and study and I just got to the point where people had to hire me.
Just remember that there are tons of people going for these jobs. Eventually someone will see something in you they can't pass up.
Hey Drawing Guy, Thanks for your word of encouragement!
Im just going to sit in my crappy customer services job for now, and keep plodding along with my college work!
3 weeks till the new term! I cant wait :-)
