Hola!

It's been a little while since I last posted, but I recently began tooling around with the IDEA of updating my logo and came up with the attached pdf.

Now, this is not final by any means, but I wanted to post it in the event that it resembles anything else in the world (if I am the first one to put a halo over a "g" I think I am going to go buy lottery tickets!).

I would enjoy your feedback.

Thanks and keep well,
Dale

I like it. My only concern is the "DESIGN" Is rather small and thin and would probably get lost if you reduce it much smaller.

Yep.

That has been my main concern with it as I have been fooling around. I am still playing around with the weight of "Design" as well as the size and letterspacing to find a happy medium between all.

But I'm glad you like it. Thanks for posting!

Hi,

I think this is a really good, strong design - very clean.

One thing though - why not repeat the lower-case g from the logotype in the 'greater good' ? - it just doesn't feel right with the upper-case G's at the moment.

Also, I'd watch the yellow halo against a white background - whilst it looks fine on screen, it might not print as vividly and could end up looking washed-out. Perhaps add 10-15% magenta to it, just to give it a bit more lift, and make it slightly more golden looking?

Hope these help.

Awesome feedback - thanks.

Trust me, the FIRST thing I did was have lowercase "g" in the text treatment and the redundancy of three "g" forms really got under my skin.

So that's pretty much why.

As far as the yellow goes, great thinking - I will definitely keep that in mind.

Keep well,
Dale

I like it as well. I think the above suggestions are pretty good ones. I'd like to see the card with the lower case g just for shits and giggles.

I'm sure a few more people will weigh in on it on Monday.

I love sharp logo design. The name is well represented by the halo over the lower case g. The simplest are the best.

I really like it :)
I think the capital G's work perfectly, all lowercase g's would be too repetitive. The only concern I would have is (again) *DESIGN* being too small.

My name starts with a G and I used to draw halos and devil horns (and tails and forks and even angel wings) on my name all through high school. I drew hundreds of variations of the things. I once even etched the g with the devil horns and halo into my arm. Thank goodness the scar has disappeared now.

Maybe since I did draw those g's I notice it when I see it in design. It's nothing new or unique, but it does look nice when used in a relevant context (like the halo in Greater Good). Geri Halliwell (spicegirl) used to use it in her branding at one time too.

I wouldn't worry about the likeness to another logo in this case. I do believe they are different enough and your design holds its own.

I imagine that the mark would often be used without the 2 lines of text. If it is, I like it.

well, i think that treatment might be a bit common but think this looks good.

I agree with teh comments about the "design" part

And perhaps if you make the 3 "g"s lowercase, make the each a bit different...make the tail swoop upward or something so they are not all exact but the same?
