campaign concept...

I am doing the Rock the Vote campaign for our campus... here is the first draft of my first concept and I was wondering if I could get any feedback on it... I don't know if it is an idea worth persuing. Thoughts are appriciated.

i like the colors and the way the text is angled but i don't know if it would be easy enough to read quickly which is what i would want for something like this. maybe if you could make the text larger it would increase readability but then you probably wouldn't be able to do the same layout you have. sorrry if i'm just rambling its almost time to go my brain is spent :D

no listen to him, me likely but what date and time lol. Whatever would make me go do whatever ya know? Um with the soon to be body copy, maybe making that run horizontal for the readability of us english peeps. Also maybe running the blue/red stipes in an opposing or in a similar direction to the rest of it, but discredit this to whatever.

Thanks for the imput... I'm going to mess with it a little more... here is another concept... I am having a hard time with the placement of the type on this one..

what this is for? is it an election? a battle of the bands? I think you should try to be more clear as to what the event is.

In the "Campus Night Life Presents" part, if you play with the weights and sizes to justify each word on the right at about the "life" and "presents" right margin it would look much MUCH better in my opinion.

mmm, i see. But if you are going to leave that way you should give the UNL more hierarchy, making it more noticeable. Nevertheless, I still think the design would look better with that part aligned, even if you lose the UNL thing. That's because your design is based in rotated right angles, that part just seems out of tone.



another suggestion, but that's more a personal opinion, you can disagree with me; if you look at your design, is basically clockwise rotation. But the upper paragraph is in the other direction, I think that if it was rotated 180° it would be more intuitive to the reader, plus you would have the image as a header.

again, just an opinion ;)
