Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : Logo for job magazine
Hello, I have 4 models of a logo for a magazine for job searchers.
Need your feedback on which of the four I should choose. Appreciate any critique I can get. Thanks guys. http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f376/Madevilz/chronojob-logo.jpg

They're not bad. Why is the stopwatch so wonky? I don't think the stopwatches are so successful because some people might not read it as an "o".

Yeah, I am not really sure the stopwatch can represent the O.
I have the same worries when asked for a bike dealership. They want something different, I think spettacolo and the skewed logo might accommodate the request.
Why not shrink the stop watch so that it sits nicely as an o in between j and b?
The top right is your strongest idea. However, where the bowl of the b meets the curve of the stop watch circle is a major tension point. Along with the stem of the j almost touching the circle. Seems as if the stop watch doesn't really belong because of that tension visually and separates the graphic from the type something you want to avoid.

I think the top right might be better if the stopwatch was done successfully and not wonky like everyone mentions. I also like the digital one but not with the word job so big. I would work on both of them a little bit more and then repost. definitely a good start.

I'd second looking into that.
The stopwatch in all of its wonkiness does bring a lot of personality to the design, so I wouldn't do away with the unevenness. But using the stopwatch as an O doesn't work for me either. I'd rather use a regular O and use the stopwatch as more of a separate mark. Maybe infront of or after the logotype. tZ's suggestion somehow seems the most intriguing, though.
There's something appealing about the bottom right alternative as well. Quite simple and to the point.

I think it's a good start. I like the left on the most.
Looks like a explotion or somekind of web... like netwerking or something.

Like RistoL. sad: The stopwatch in all of its wonkiness does bring a lot of personality to the design.
So.... enough choices :)

The one top-left reminds me of a logo I have seen before - but I cannot find it so quickly.
Therefore I prefer the one bottom-right: the idea of the digital clock in combination with the word "Chrono".
The ones with the stopwatch were too hard to read / find out what the name of the company is.

I also like the clock idea, just not so much as you have it now. Like others said, try making it just the letter 'o' without the letter 'b' sitting inside. Why is it distorted?
Also, is chrono.job a website? Because it looks that way with the dot in the middle.

top left has been done almost exactly in that way i cant remember where either, but i do like the watch, but i agree, the different color and size make it a different element than the word mark.

It does look like a website. I didn't consider that it might not be a website.
hey thanks for all the comments, client chose top left one. Appreciate it guys.
Yeah it will be a website too, thats why the client thought of the DOT Job.

I've seen that exact image used in a logo before, in the first one.
