Trouble Deciding on Look of Portfolio Site

Hi Guys,
I am starting to get into Web design, I went a got a website and some webspace. Now I am having a delima. I cannot decide on how to make it look. What do you people out there recommend I do in helping me decide on a look for my portfolio site?
Its going to be a portfolio site for mainly print because thats all I have done so far. I am finding in this business that it is the most difficult to design something for myself rather than others if you know what I mean.
So if someone has some advice that would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

I went through a similar situation bringing up my site...

As far as the look you're going for, it's up to you to design a site that fits your image and that your users will respond to.
I designed my site first & posted a link requesting a review in every graphic/web forum I could find looking for reviews. Just remember, no design is perfect for everyone, be prepared to take a flogging, and most importantly, do what you know is right!
