Attached is an ad that will be placed in a "Retail" type magazine. By retailers I mean that the people that will be reading it our the people that are involved with the planning/marketing of retail stores.

(The ad size is 7.5" x 4.875")

The goggles! They do nothing!

Would love to see the ad ;)

The logo text is squatted to begin with, so it makes it even harder to read when it is so small.

The monitor in the photo looks unnatural. Try adding a reflection and brightening up the display a little.

is the monitor on the counter shopped? because it look like it is. maybe try softening it up with a little bit of a blur. also why would the customer be handing a card to the cashier when they can swipe it themselves? isn't that why they are selling the mounts?

Wouldn't the guy buying be swiping his card and not handing it to the lady if the mount/card reader was working (ie - the focus)?

Also, Using the same picture twice in the same ad is quite tacky looking...

She's verifying his signature. :o

Looks more like a heres-my-card-to-pay hand off, than a verification hand off... *shrugs*

I know that doesn't make sense, but visually thats what it looks like to me. :p

Thanks all for the feedback.

I revised the main image with the mount on the counter. I think it looks better, any input?

if it's in a "retail" mag, do you really need to emphasize the word "retail"? To me it's kind of saying, "you're an idiot so I'll make this very obvious."

I think the white space on the bottom left upsets the balance of the whole ad. Maybe you could put the contact details there or extend the picture below the line.

The logo is too small and looks like it was forgotten about until the ad was finished and then stuffed in anywhere it would fit.

Because the right edge of the photo is quite light, I would put a line or something to separate it from the white.

It looks like you shopped the lady and the monitor in?

Only the monitor was added.

I think I have found a solution that I am happy with. Thanks all for the feedback.

And here is the ad mocked up onto a page from a past issue of the magazine so the ad can be seen in context.
