OK, I think I've decided to go the freelance route, and am on my way to getting set up for business :).
I came up with a few different designs for my card & posted them at ablank.us/biz_card (http://ablank.us/biz_card)
Which design(s) do you guys like best?

I don't like any. Too many shadows, reflections etc. They are very busy.
I would go for something a bit more simple and clean.

I like #6 but like holycow said, without all of the reflections in it. Have you tried some color?

i like 4 but just like the other said...just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Are these just one-sided cards?

Are the reflections meant to represent something? I don't get it. And you should really simplify it. All the text just gets lost in the collage of images.

These cards are overwhelming because it is not clear which part is your logo.
It looks like there are 3 logos on every card. The website, the shadowy circle/box thing and "graphic & web design".
I think you would be better off simplifying these 3 logos into 1 logo.

If I HAD to choose, I would say: top left
I don't mind not using any colours, but I agree with the others: it's all a bit too busy

Is that font Penguin? I wouldn't use it especially with all that unnecessary tracking.

Those hurt my eyes and gave me a headache.
You have way too much going on there IMO. Remember...

having your text outlined at that smaller size also makes a lot of it difficult to read.
There's not a lot of sense to hierarchy and composition with these. As mentioned it seems like these concepts are more about playing with things (outlined fonts, reflections, transparencies, etc.) instead of trying to figure out how to best represent you and your company.
Wouldn't a blank concept be more appropriate?

tz, very cool idea.
very Minimalist approach.

Oops... looks like I got stuck in "web" mode...:)
Of course, you guys were right about the designs being too busy - it was a late night, like that's an excuse...
Anyway, check out the re-designs (http://ablank.us/biz_card/)
I really like the concept behind nine. However, this is one of those circumstances where even though I like it I don't think its appropriate. Than again it depends on your target market. However, if you will be handing these out to ordinary folks who know absolutely nothing about programming or xml than they won't get it.

#9 is missing a "/" in your email closing tag.

You seem to like having text at right angles to each other. That is one of my main dislikes about the card. Having all the text facing the same direction makes the card flow a lot easier.

It looks like you're using 3 different fonts (?)

#4 does it for me.

I think there's too many fonts and variations of it. I really don't like how the kerning is wider and how "blank" is outlined text. I get it but I think there could be a better way to make that look a little bit eye appealing and flow.

I would take this advice....you still haven't solved the problem in your second draft.
