We all post up logos/designs that we work on for other clients, I'd like to see all the logos that we've come up with for ourselves, our companies, or even logos for the company you work for (that you may or may not have done).
With that, I'll start. I didn't create the logo, it was done before our 2 companies merged.
Logo:
http://www.long-boy.com/images/GeoEye/GeoEye_logo_large.gif
Company Boilerplate:
GeoEye is the premier provider of satellite and aerial imagery, geospatial information (information referenced to a specific location), geospatial products, and solutions for the national security community, strategic partners, and commercial customers helping them better map, measure and monitor the world. GeoEye's world is one seen through our Earth imaging satellites—IKONOS and OrbView-2, two mapping aircraft, and a global network of regional partners and satellite receiving ground stations. GeoEye's geospatial information supports key industries, including national intelligence, defense and security, air and marine transportation, oil and gas, environmental monitoring, on-line mapping, insurance and risk management, urban planning and emergency preparedness.
Translation:
We own and operate 2 earth-imaging satellites and a couple of aerial imaging aircraft (imagery as well as LiDAR imaging). We provide a good chunk of the images you see in Google Earth/Maps, Yahoo, and MSN, among other commercial and government customers. We're launching our next satellite, GeoEye-1, on September 4.
Post 'em up!

I would post the logo for the company I work for, but I don't think that would go over to well if someone saw it... However, I will post it in about a month since we *MIGHT* get bought out by a competitor of ours. Chances are if you follow the stock market you know about this... We shall see though.
The logo is exellent...very good. The type is great and the colour choice is 10/10. The stylistic spike emphasises the logo pretty well. But I like the E but not the G, Maybe you could have left it out. The illustration looks really good with plent of things to capture the eye. the stroke, shape and firm detail alludes a good logo. What typeface is it...good choice. Was the G,E that is intergrated into it intensional. or am i just slow at seeing this.

I better not put my company logo up either. Though I don't like it. It was designed over 20 years ago and time has not been kind to it.

Ours too. Not only do I want to redesign it, I want to change the name. It's almost a tongue twister with a funky enunciation and people have a hard time hearing it over the phone. I end up having to spell it half the time, such a professional way to start a phone call.

People might think they will put theirs on.
Your company's logo is great, the guy design it must be clever.

It's a nice thought Longboy .. but people have lost jobs over posting things about where they work here. Soooo you probably aren't going to get many to post where they work ;)
Personal logos you just might get :D
I'd post one if I had one :p

• Can't post the company logos—Legal would have a cow
• We shouldn't post stuff we didn't design, and I didn't design our logos
• They aren't all that spectacular

Yeah my company's logo isn't the best either, but I know what they are like, I could get into a lot of bother over something like this :)

I got to re-brand and recreate a brand new logo for our firm. But...I also will not show it. And I think it's a great suit for our company (biased).

I'm not going to post my company's logo but I will say...
It is over 30 years old and I still think it is a really great logo! How neat is that? I have no idea who designed it - I myself have updated the type treatment around the image/logo itself so that it still looks nice today.
It is actually slightly similar to another very, very famous mark - I often wonder which came first? Two totally different markets tho...

Great Thread, sorry I missed it.
Surprised to see so many artist willing to critique so many logos, but when it comes time to show a logo that represents a company they work for or themselves, everybody gets a little squirmy in their seats. I thinks its more interesting to see OLDER type logos that are still in use. Its like looking through your grandmas artwork up in the attic. This forum helps us become better designers, with all the critiques, suggestions and advice. This should be a more relaxed thread.. have fun with it folks.
Let me go ahead and post my logo, as it was designed almost 10 years ago as well, and so it doesn't really pass any of the 'LOGO' rules. I come from a traditional, illustrative background with a tiny bit of tattooing on the side so this logo is 100% illustration. Its actually been tattooed several times.
So have at it.

Thats a pretty killer drawing. Is the type treatment 10 years old too?? Looks refreshing and strong against the drawing.
Here is our brand that they put on our apparel. Not sure how long we have had the design, I imagine its pretty old

Thanks, no the actually the type was small face lift I made this past year.
for your collegehouse, that gradient, checkered background is never forgotten. Looks very 80's pop culture-ish.

I think it is more along the lines of what we say on this board vs. we could get fired or in trouble if it got back to our companies...
I know some people on here know where I work, but I would prefer it not be common knowledge.
Love the illustration by the way.
These are some of my favorites that I've done for a few clients...

Oh and you can see my personal logo here on my card. It's basically the same logo I've used for over 15 years now, it's just gotten slightly refined over the years. For those that know me...the lettering on my card is actually my handwriting, just illustrated in vector...

I work for a publicly traded company, so posting any information/images from or about them can be linked back to me... Which may or may not be the best thing. :o

Here's an idea I've been tossing around for awhile (have you ever noticed yourself sketching the same thing over and over for months without really noticing what you're doing?). It incorporates my first and last initials, and it's an ambigram? Is that the word?
Can you see the letters?

I'd probably put my website addy (myname.com) right under it to help people see the letters.

Those with horse looked fine. The Texas farm is in good shape. The bolder fonts I think will give it more character.
