I'm not sure, but if you can, someone (http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=39252) might be interested.

I believe that it only let's you install twice, supposed to be for one user... but I'm sure you could sell it, how much do you want for it?

Is your CS3 for Mac & is it full-version or upgrade?

You can absolutely sell it, you need to uninstall it from what ever machines you have it on and whoever buys it needs to fill out the registration info when they install. I think if it was an update it would be a problem because serial numbers wouldn't match but Adobe may help you out with that.

See the part about transferring a student license.
As in 'not eligible'.

Well, in theory PD it would be okay if the person buying it was also a student or teacher and could prove it.

I think that as long as you de-authorize it on the Mac you have it on now, you should be able to install it on your roomie's Mac.

You need to uninstall according to the directions from Adobe, I think I found them on the website. Every CS license comes with two activations so as long as the reg. number isn't activated on any other machines you can load it on any machine you want.
The dealio with the "student" copies is that Adobe gives a discount on them and they're really only "supposed" to be for schools or students.

Student editions cannot be sold or given away or used for commercial projects, although you can upgrade to a commercial product:

^that's a UK sheet. Apparently in Europe you just have to prove you are a student.
The one I posted is US.
It appears that here, you cannot transfer a student license. I'd be careful about doing a deactivation in that case.

You can use student editions for commercial projects here in the US I believe.

You can use them, but I'm pretty sure when you buy them with the discount the reg. numbers are invalid to sell. You need to call Adobe and give them your info to reinstall.
The full versions you can sell, it's the buyer that needs to beware. Usually on ebay, they'll sell you the software but keep one activated reg going too. And there's nothing you can do because you didn't buy from Adobe.
When I bought CS2, I had full versions of PS and Illustrator, but my DTP was Quark. I had to completely re-buy to upgrade. My $2k Illy & PS from 1996 on my os9 G3 did me noooo good 8 years later on my osx G5.
Yea, I was kinda pissed but they gave me a break on my warranty.
*laughing* I remember sharing full versions of Quark, PS and Illustrator on floppys.

What part about this don't you guys get:
Transfer an Adobe product license
This document includes Adobe's transfer of license policy for the United States and Canada.
Adobe allows individuals or businesses to transfer an Adobe branded or Macromedia branded single-user license to another individual or business following the sale or donation of the license.
For information about transferring a volume license, please contact Adobe Customer Service.
License transfer policy
* If you transfer the license for a product suite, the license applies to the entire suite of products. Individual products within a product suite are not eligible for a transfer of license.
* Educational versions of only Macromedia branded products are eligible for a transfer of license. (Transferee must provide proof of educational status to complete the transfer.)
* Educational versions of Adobe branded products are not eligible for a transfer of license.
* The transfer of a license includes all versions of that product. If you sell or donate your registered copy of an Adobe branded or Macromedia branded single-user license, then you transfer your rights to all versions of that license as well.
