Alright, guys, what do you think of these? I might make a few small touches before i print the final. Which design do you like more? Thanks for the comments/suggs. By the way, I just started them this evening, so I'm sure they'll be improved upon in the end.

switch the names and go with the one on the right

Howdy, Armpro...if feel opposite of Big Perm....I really like the first one, but that is because I am currently trying to not design everything in a square poster style, but to have white space and curves....just like that one! The words are too small at bottom however, you could have them curve around bottom 1/2 circle, still using the black white theme....or larger and filling the whole bottom by widely spacing the letters....
Great design, evocative and different from most Jazz posters! (This is the second neat jazz poster I have seen on this forum...I can't remember whose the other one belonged to.)
Anyway, real good job, loves the colors the idea of power/light blowing from the horn...
good luck

i kinda agree with Big Perm.
i like the name on the left (only bigger) but like the layout/design on the right...
vectorgfxqueen, is right... its a great poster, and has great colors! i REALLY love these types of abstract designs, it says so little but means so much!
the only other suggestions i have is the black that sepperates the light/sound from the sax that leads to the person... i don't know why, but its a little distracting. i think it would look cool if the white went dirctly into the red and yellow.

Graphics look good. I like the white background version.
But...what is the red bead thing near the bottom of the swirl?
Even though I already knew who Coltrane is, when I first saw the posters I thought "flashlight!"-maybe make the sax stand out a little more?
Type on white background version makes more sense to me, the reversed typeis good.</div>
