CS3: Sharp, Crisp, Strong & Smooth

Hi,

I'm currently using Adobe PH CS3, I trying to add some text into a .gif image, but it won't allow me to use the options: Sharp, Crisp, Strong & Smooth.

How can I get these to show?

Any help or advice would be most appreciated!

i think you have to change the image mode to RGB first.
