linking layers in InDesign

Does anybody know if you can link or connect layers or put several layers in a folder like you can in Photoshop. If so, how?

Note that ID DOES support object layer control for placed PSDs, AIs, and PDFs -- AND for placed ID files. That opens up a LOT of possibilities.

Hmmmm Is that yes to linking layer in ID and no to putting layers in folder?

I got the "you're welcome" part.

Note: the layers do not necessarily involve placed or "linked" (the other kind of "linked"). I'm just talking about regular text boxes on different layers that I want to make visible or not at the same time.

You can't link or put layers into a folder like you can in Photoshop. Which would be great, but sadly, no can do.
