Has anyone else heard about this?
Apparently a giant UFO will "uncloak" itself to the people of earth.
Google it if you're interested, I don't believe it, but a lot of people do.

I am a tiny bit afraid that something will happen (earth based ;)) instigated by governments (we have our election that day), but I mostly just think it's interesting.

If a UFO does appear on 10/14, it better not be anticlimactic. At this point, First Contact has to be at least as awesome as Close Encounters and 2001 combined. I want a light show, missing children returning home, fetuses in the sky, and an awesome soundtrack. Might I suggest the new Jay-Z/T.I. track "Swagga Like Us (http://www.zshare.net/audio/17485064653c6fd4/)"?

So I guess now that we're all comfortably back in the food stage of this thread, let's get that question out there!

If you were an alien overlord hoping to throw a few nice, juicy, human brats on the fire from the GDF to go with your two-kilometer tailgate party-- who among GDF regs would be your first choice(s)-- and why?

Remember, we're not looking for designers with good taste-- we're looking for designers that taste good.

(Sorry Charlie)

NTLemon
10-14-2008, 09:25 PM
I think if I were an alien overlord looking to fry up some GDFers then I think one of the first choices would be typically and Bladez:

Nothing against either of them but I imagine a Guinness marinated brat would taste pretty good, and afterwards you could have some special typically brownies.

Garricks might taste good, never tried badger though, and of course Kittie and virgo for the bacon and avocado flavors.

If wagyu beef (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wagyu) is anything to go by, then alcoholics that have been well tenderised by beatings should be quite delicious.

Because of Japan's rugged terrain and isolated areas, different breeding and feeding techniques were used such as massaging or adding beer or sake to their feeding regimen.

Oooh, which I have yet to see, but I really want to.

I also saw the Broadway revival, which was a really good, albeit very different, staging of the show as well. Although Patti Lupone was on vacation, she was supposed to be in the cast, but her substitute did a great job. Michael Cerveris was amazing as the Sweeney Todd character. If you can imagine, that version was even darker, perhaps because of the staging, than the original. Very minimalist, some interesting extrapolation required on the audience's part, and on a much smaller stage.

And rabbits are low in protein, so you have to eat even more of them.

The problem with eating lots of rabbit isn't the protein, it's their lack of fat.

Rabbit Starvation:
Lack of fats in the diet.
Rabbit being comparatively low in some amino acids that human beings cannot themselves synthesize.
Lean meat, being mostly protein, must be broken down into amino acids and then converted into glucose (via gluconeogenesis) in order to be used as an energy source. This process takes time and can not be done quickly enough to meet the energy requirements of an active person. After the body's energy reserves (fat) are depleted, the energy requirements to sustain basic life processes are not met.
The ammonia released during the process of converting amino acids into glucose cannot be cleared by conversion to urea quickly enough. The buildup of ammonia is poisonous.
