Hiya,

I'm a perfectionist when it comes to organizing and I really can't stand the filter menu of
Photoshop (I'm using cs4 beta - but that don't make any difference) when you have 3rd
party plugins installed. Here is the picture you can see what I mean....

No doubt alot of you have found this annoyin.. but then maybe you like it. With my Photoshop
setup I have an additional plugins folder setup up (because it loads alot faster and I can
organize my plugins too. Its a shame that when you organize your plugins it doesn't effect
how they show up in the Photoshop filters menu.

With OnOne plugins its easy to get them all in the same folder - BUT its that stupid menu
on the top menu bar (see picture for OnOne menu at the top). With these plugins I can't
even get them to show up with the other plugins in the filters menu.

So my questions are....

1. How do it get OnOne plugins to show up inside the standard filters menu?

2. How do I change the folder names that each plugin resides in?
Example: I would like to see this inside the filters menu for all my 3rd party plugins

[Folder] Alien Skin > [SubFolder] Exposure
[SubFolder] Impact
[SubFolder] Nature
[SubFolder] Textures
[SubFolder] Image Doctor
[SubFolder] Snap Art
[SubFolder] Splat
[SubFolder] Xenofex

[Folder] OnOne > [SubFolder] FocalPoint
[SubFolder] GenuineFractals
[SubFolder] PhotoTools
[SubFolder] PhotoTune

I have had a look at inside the plugin files with PathFinder but I really don't know what
I need to edit. Does anyone have an idea what I can do? Or could someone point me in the right direction?

Million thanks in advanced!!!!!!

My system: MacOSX Leopard

Never used any filters/third party filters, so I have no idea. But I am intrigued how to go about doing this... sorry.

Only ever really used third party brushes/custom brushes...

Maybe you don't open any document. So try to open one (Ctrl-N) then go to Filter menu again.

Thanks for your replies but they really don't help as you don't
have / or have used filters. To do what I am asking you would
have had to look inside the actual plugin files for some settings
but I don't know what and thats why i am asking =)

If you are using a legal copy of PS CS4 Beta then you must have signed a non disclosure agreement with Adobe. This is still in effect and includes posting screenshots on a public forum. You need to remove that image.
