not boring, just kind of ambiguous - as a post, that is. a redesign of what? what were the project constraints/specs?

i like the colours and 'breathing room', i don't like the kerning of the top/horizontal menu buttons or the spacing of the pse in the logo. kind of 'top of the pops' but in a very good way...

Sorry, it's a redesign of another design I did a while ago - there currently is no intranet site for this company.
The original design I did was posted at www.graphicdesignforum.com/default.aspx?f=41&m=79254 (http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/default.aspx?f=41&m=79254) but they wanted a few changes.

The logo is already fixed so I can't change that.
The kerning - well that will be HTML text in the website so what you see here is only a mock up. So hopefully this will iron itself out.

Thought I'd adjust it so it worked a bit better at wider screen sizes.

i like the way 2.08 looks, but 2.09 feels better. i guess it depends whether you'd want that menu bar or the content cut off, should it happen.

Yeah I kind of thought that too. Then I went back and did some wireframing and thought I'd probably have to change it again anyway to make the nav system most useable.

Also added some extra drop-shadows down the sides.
