It's the tyranny of the urgent.
Listen guys, I have a project due at 3:00 today. If you guys would quit screwing around and get it finished, that'd be super. kthxbye.
If a UFO does appear on 10/14, it better not be anticlimactic. At this point, First Contact has to be at least as awesome as Close Encounters and 2001 combined. I want a light show, missing children returning home, fetuses in the sky, and an awesome soundtrack. Might I suggest the new Jay-Z/T.I. track "Swagga Like Us (http://www.zshare.net/audio/17485064653c6fd4/)"?
Oh ho ho, thaaaat! Well, if it means anything, I clean the windows when I'm done licking them.
I bet rick rolling is no laughing matter to a cyborg. I mean there you are, a cyborg going about your everyday cyborg business and you go to get a bit of information and pretty soon you've got Rick rolling all over your circuitry. And God forbid it gets written into your firmware or BIOS or something. I don't think I'm ready to be a cyborg.
I wish I could help you but you lost me at Level 2.
Well I ended up eating my suspicious lunch at around 11am It's now almost 2pm and no slippery pants yet.
If I ever meet a girl named Esmerelda I'm totally gonna kidnap her and take her to my bell tower now!
You mention the cats ... My Ivory will break her neck to race in here and jump up on my lap and meow with me if she hears me start singing.
It's hysterical to watch her. She gets right in my face and meows with me. Sometimes she just purrs and drools on me if she doesn't feel like meowing
I now refuse to work on something until I have body copy. I mean, what is the point?
If I start on it now, it might take me 3 hours. Then when I get the copy it might take me another hour to get it to fit.
If I work on the design with supplied copy, then it should be just 3 hours total.
I'm too busy to work on "what ifs".

WW, you better get that black turtleneck on before he gets there... maybe you can scare him off with the hugeness of your boobies in a black turtleneck.
Scoot... hurry up, he's almost there.
Since when would the hugeness of boobies scare a guy off?
have you seen the duck thread?
geezaloo.
those things have got their own heartbeats. and opinions. hell, they'd probably nag you, too.
*shudder*
Not if they were in a black turtleneck.
then they'd be HUGE. probably take over the world, or something.
Ryan's what, 17?
Boobies ARE his world.
but THESE ones would have dastardly plans of global domination, black turltle necks, monacles, bionic fingers and those horrible white cats. they'd also laugh like this:
mm. mmm-mmm. mmhmmm. mwaha. mwaHaHA. MWAAHHAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Happy Friday kids! Starting tomorrow I enter a phase of every weekend booked with something.
Tonight I'm starting to cook for tomorrow's dinner party, I'm making enchiladas and the sauce and salsa will be made from the peppers, tomatoes and cilantro from my garden! Sunday I'm off to a baby shower for my sister in law (I got their baby an AC/DC onesie and an AC/DC lullaby cd! My brother in law will be thrilled), then after the shower I run back home in time to go see Jim Bianco again! Our group of people that met up in WV will be there for a one month reunion lol! I don't suspect there will be any boobs on windows this time around though.
Have fun everyone! Thanks for the Friday Post and quotes as always Kool!

HAPPY FRIDAY ALL! Got this email this morning - thought it was insightful. Enjoy :D
The FAIR Economic Recovery Plan
I’m against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.
Instead, I’m in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in
a 'We Deserve It' Dividend.
To make the math simple, let’s assume there are 200,000,000
bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.
Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman
and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..
So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals $425,000.00.
My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a
We Deserve It Dividend.
Of course, it would NOT be tax free.
So let’s assume a tax rate of 30%.
Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes.
That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.
But it means that every adult 18 + has $297,500.00 in their pocket.
A husband and wife has $595,000.00.
What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?
Pay off your mortgage – housing crisis solved.
Repay college loans – what a great boost to new grads
Put away money for college – it’ll be there
Save in a bank – create money to loan to entrepreneurs.
Buy a new car – create jobs
Invest in the market – capital drives growth
Pay for your parent’s medical insurance – health care improves
Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean – or else
Remember, this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks
who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company
that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.
If we’re going to re-distribute wealth let’s really do it...instead of
trickling out
a puny $1000.00 ( “vote buy” ) economic incentive that is being proposed by< /SPAN>
one of our candidates for President.
If we’re going to do an $85 billion bailout, let’s bail out every adult U S
Citizen 18+!
As for AIG – liquidate it.
Sell off its parts.
Let American General go back to being American General.
Sell off the real estate.
Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.
Here’s my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn’t.
Sure it’s a crazy idea that can “never work.”
But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party?!?!
How do you spell Economic Boom???
I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion
We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the genius es at AIG or in Washington DC.
And remember, The FAIR plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5
Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.

Heh heh, only one problem. The person who dreamed up this plan is really crappy at math. 85 billion divided by 200 million is $425 dollars, not 425 thousand dollars. LOL
I'm not sure the actual 297 bucks would pay off any of those things LOL.

lmao Good Katch Kool :D
I was playing around with the 700 billion number last night so i made a little spreadsheet to play around with that inconceivable number. 700 billion dollars would...
Be enough to give this guys theoretical 200 million people $3500 each
Be enough to give every person on earth approx a hundred bucks
Be enough to give 7 million small business's 100,000 dollars to start up
Earn $95,890,410.96 a day if they stuck it in a bank at 5% interest
If converted to dollar bills and placed end to end it would stretch 66,287,879 miles or 278 times around the moon
If you spent it at the rate of 1 million dollars a day it would take you 1,918 years to spend it all

For an upcoming article on Sunday, one of our writers figured the math for what it would be for each person above 18 in the States to get a chunk of the $700 billion, and it was a pretty nice number.
What's with the $85 billion number? Is that the new proposed bailout? I've been too busy to pay attention to the national news, lots of local stuff going on, and I've been busy.

Well, one recipe I have been joking about with my husband and brother-in-law is meatball martinis. Vodka, warm olive oil, a few cocktail meatballs thrown in, with a sprig of basil!! GagLOL!!
Seriously, I've been mixing vodka with ginger beer, or ginger ale when I don't have the other, and pommegranate juice lately. It's almost scary how easy they go down! Very tasty.

Also an awesome comment about it from ratebeer:
Darker amber colored body with a slightly off white head. The aroma has some light toffee and boiled potatoes. There are also notes of fall leaves. Sweet oranges and some hints of Tootsie Rolls are the main flavors. There are also some notes of toast. A pleasant brew.

I'm still working on downing my cinnamon toast crunch. I doubt mimosas would go well with that... :p

oh, it's not the time that's the problem, it's the choice of brefixt.
You need bacon, eggs, and toast. Or french toast. Or pancakes.
Mmm, pancake breakfast. :)

mimosa would be loverly with an elegant breakfast though, I doubt morea would be subjecting herself to your "cinnamon toast crunch"
;)

You're coming over to cook, right? That requires WAY to much forethought.... Plus the fridge is bare. :(

and you're right...it's the breakfast fare. Eggs Benedict would be my choice. Yum...I might be able to make that this morning.

I've always loved Eggs Benedict, but used to avoid them because most of the recipes I've seen for hollandaise sauce include ridiculous amounts of fat, like 1/2 cup of butter or 6 egg yolks!
Here's the recipe I use for a low-fat hollandaise sauce:
Mock Hollandaise Sauce
Makes enough sauce to serve 2
1-1/2 Tbsp butter - melt over medium heat
1-1/2 Tbsp flour - add to butter, cook and stir 1 min.
slowly add 1/2 cup milk, continue stirring while it thickens
beat in 1 egg yolk, cook 1 minute
stir in 1 tsp lemon juice
Add (salt) and pepper to taste and parsley and dash of cayenne pepper.
If it turns out a little to thick and just add a little more milk to get the right consistency.
Yum!
I may have to try that version. I especially like the amount it makes. Perfect for me.

I actually refrigerate the part I don't use and microwave it the next day... the microwaving can make it get thick, but if you add a bit of milk and stir it well, it keeps that from happening.
it's soooo good!

I hope you like it! I really do... and I'm not a great cook by any stretch of the imagination, but it's very easy to make.
I generally make the eggs, cook the ham, and pop the english muffins into the toaster before I start the sauce, because it's hard to step away once you start it, and you don't want to let it sit very long because it gets thick pretty quickly.
It's very good with hash browns (and mimosas)! :D
