Hi there, this is my first post, and i think you can help me here.
I ve designed a family of logos and now i wanna export them separatly from illustrator. I ve tried to achieve that result with the crop area tool, but the main problem here is that i canīt get all the icons centered in the crop area, so then when i upload them to my page the are unaligned vertically and horizontally. How can i export them all centered in the croped area?
thanx in advance

I would create a new document for each logo, copy/paste and use the align tool to get them centered to the artboard, then export from there.

Don't double post. a mod will delete your other post in the tips thread.

as far as centering your icons, create a square around one icon at a time (since it sounds like you're exporting them for Web.) center that square on your icon using your alignment palette (both horizontally and vertically). Highlight the square and select object/crop area/make. Your icon will be centered. Save for Web.

Then select object/crop area/release and repeat. If you want the square to "move" to align on each icon, when selecting both the square and the icon click on the icon (don't shift click, don't double click, just single click) ... that will force both (or multiple objects) to align on the item clicked.

You can do what Rizz said as well. Personally, I don't like having multiple source logos in one file. I prefer them separate.

thanx to all of you, i ve already think that kinda solutions but it seemed a bit handworker. I thought there would be a built in function to do that job; and anyway, it still doesnīt solves my problem cuz the dimensions of the different icons varies, so when i center an icon with X dimensions its center position is different from the otherīs icon center. I thought there would be a tool in illustrator for that kinda job; if i align the icons horizontally, i canīt align them vertically at the same time. Well, any suggestions will be really appreciated.
