Hey everyone,

I'm new here and i am an A level student who is studying Graphic Design.

My specialist project is on Propaganda and at the moment I am researching designers to inspire my work.

Does anyone know of any contemapary designers who would help in my project?

Cheers.

What is contemapary? Is that like content map type designers? If it's propaganda I'm guessing you're not going to get individual designers as they are going to be put out by a state and not an individual, but who knows.

no, lol. I meant contemporary- as in modern or cutting edge.

I would also like any war-like graphics if anyone knows any?

I'm not sure how contemporary you want, but a simple google search came up with this link:

each poster has the name of the designer below it.

Honestly, you even titled the thread "GD research". Do some of your own. Part of your job in school is to learn how to find stuff out (otherwise known as "Research"). Sorry, too many people ask for this type of stuff.

Ah, i see what you mean. I have been doing research- i have just started you seen and ive looked at world war posters, "spitfire beer" and a few anti terrorist posters from the government.

I just thought as some people in this forum are actually in the buisness, they would have some names they have seen throughtout their career which would help me as my college library is slightly devoid of graphics books...

You might try going to your local public library and see what may be available through inter-library loan.

Your college may have some kind of inter-library network as well.

I understand what you mean, Scott, its just that learning how to use resources and going through the processes of research is a valuable skill that you will use quite a lot once you are in the "real world". Do what Yossarian said, try local used and new book stores, Amazon searches, google any and all terms that are related to your search and you will come up with tons of stuff I'm sure.

Where do you live? I'm curious. There's no library resources anywhere nearby?
