Hey guys- I'm not positive on how to do this. But do any of you know how to basically embed HTML code into an email so that when the email is sent to a bunch of ppl they see it as a webpage in their email sorta? Sorta like those damn spam emails, but this isn't spam. lol. Thanks.

*EDIT* ok this is basically what I ma lookign for.....and email newsletter type deal....kinda liek this thread that i found?? Do i just make the page and copy the code liek this?? But where do I copy the code b/c I just tried that and it was emailed to me and the code showed up instead of the page. HELP!!

some people wont be able to see the html email its a preferren in their email account....

however I would put a link to 'real' html page of the ad or just a link straight to the site like Visit our Site Click Now or something

you paste the html inside the email message area

Hey, i have been working on these types of emails lately. There are 2 ways to do it, one free the other costs you.

FREE WAY

1. Create your email the same way you do a web page, i always set my outside table to 600px, this way it sits nicely in the mesage window in most email clients. make sure you keep all your images in the same folder.

2. style sheets can often cause problems as the email clients wont recognise them, to combat this simply use old skool HTML<font face='verdana' size=1> etc etc, this gives you a sporting chence of getting it looking the same in everyones different email clients.

3. now heres how to send it, open up microsoft word, then go file, open, and open your HTML page, the page will appear in the word document, now click send to>mail recipient (make sure you choose just mail receipinent not mail receipiant as attachment) this will then open up a new outlook mail window and you can happily send it on!

LIMITATIONS
there are some limitations to this method, word can sometimes make things go screwy so you may have to rejustify your text and reformat the text when you initially open it up in word, this can sometimes create words on style sheets which as i mentioned previously can make odd things happen.

PAYWAY
1. as before create you email as you would a web page

2. go to kommuniator.co.uk, sign up to an account, upload you files and send them out - a lot more of a proffessional way, allows you to see stats on clickthroughs etc

hope that helps, if anyone else has other techniques i would love to see them!

is it possible to have flash instead of images for html email?

yes, the same as building your web page, simply fut your flash into the page as you would any other elements.

I don't recommend it though. Just makes everything load slower, and as usual people viewing offline won't see it.
