InDesign Document Setup Issue

I have a 33 page landscape 11 x 8.5 doc. It has .75 margins and 5 columns - facing pages is turned off. My big hairy dilemma - client has decided they want the finished size to be 11.5 x 9. Seems simple enough except that when I go into Doc setup and add the .5 it screws up my entire document! Graphics and lines shift. I tried going to 0 margins and 1 column - but it still shifting everything, so I would laboriously have to go through and readjust everything - it is even skewing the cropped photos - adjusting sizes a tick here and there. I have photos within 1 point boxes and in some cases the photos get bigger and the box stays the same?

Help I really do not want to start over with a brand new doc and cut and paste everything to a new doc - any thoughts????

It sounds like you have layout adjustment turned on. Go under layout/layout adjustment and uncheck layout adjustment.
